Barbara Burns-Sullivan, 89, of Seekonk, passed away peacefully Wednesday, July 13, 2022. She was the beloved wife of Robert J. Sullivan. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary Burns. Barbara graduated from RI College of Education with a degree in Education. She then received her Master's degree from Boston University in 1960. She was a schoolteacher in the Cranston School Department for the majority of her career serving as department chair in Mathematics, retiring in 1994. She was an adjunct professor at various colleges. Barbara was an accomplished Ballroom dancer.

Besides her husband, she is survived by many cousins including her closest relative, Eleanor Burns. In addition she also leaves ten stepchildren and was the cousin of the late Kathleen Gaudet. She also leaves her beloved poodle Renee.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, July 19th at 11 AM at Saint Margaret Church, 1098 Pawtucket Avenue, Rumford. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning from 9-10 AM in the Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
