Anita (Resnikoff) Buckley, 69, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, February 21, 2025, at her home in Cumberland, RI. She was born in Linden, NJ to Edith (Nigen) Resnikoff and David Resnikoff.

Anita attended URI and received her bachelors degree in Nursing. She worked as a registered nurse for many years before retiring in November 2017. While at URI Anita met Chip Buckley, and after a whirlwind romance, they married on July 25, 1982, in Wakefield, RI.

Anita was a self described gym-rat who loved pickleball, long walks, yoga, dancing, and music she could move to. Anita's favorite saying was, "a body in motion stays in motion". She was an avid gardener, Patriots fan, and dog lover.

Besides Chip, Anita is survived by her son Alex, daughter-in-law Katherine Signell, grandchild Lyle Buckley, daughter Andrea, sister Lisa (Resnikoff) Evanylo, and her brother-in-law Greg Evanylo.
