Angela “Angel” Jannitto, 83, of Pawtucket passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Born in Pawtucket, RI, Angel was the daughter of the late Sophie (Rzepiela) and John Duffin.
A lifelong resident of Pawtucket, she enjoyed spending time with her gang of lifelong, childhood friends, who were also an intrinsic part of our family, serving as Godmothers to each of her children. She also enjoyed the theater and was a longtime patron of the Trinity Repertory Theater and made frequent trips to New York City with the same friends to take in shows. She also served on the board of the Young People’s School for the Performing Arts. Not a sun goddess by any stretch of the imagination, she did love spending time at our summer home in Pt. Judith and sharing it with friends and family, cruising about in the boat and having picnics thereon. She enjoyed travel and, for a time, would spend a good amount of winter time with her dear friends in Florida. Again, not exactly basking in the glorious sunshine. What she loved most, secondary to her children and grandchildren, was Masterpiece Theater re-runs on PBS, Wordle and navigating the complexities of the interweb. She lit up whatever room she entered.
Angel is survived by her children Judith Achee and her husband Bryan, and Peter Jannitto III and his wife Joanne. She leaves behind her grandchildren Andrew Feid, Molly Feid, and Jake Cyr. Angel was the mother of the late Mary Jannitto and was the sister of the late John Duffin.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the Manning-Heffern-O’Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, RI. The funeral and burial will be private.
