Obituary

Andrew ("Andy") James Frolich Sr., 89, of Cumberland, RI, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the Holiday Skilled Nursing Home & Senior Rehabilitation. He was the beloved husband of Marilyn (Martini) Frolich, the true love of his life, for over 62 years. Born in the Bronx, NY in 1933, he was the son of the late Ethel (Flahive) Frolich. He is survived by his daughter, Lori Ann Chabot and son, Andrew James Frolich Jr., and his grandchildren, Casey Ann Chabot and Samantha Ann Chabot, the lights of his life he was so proud of. He also leaves his brother, James Flahive and his wife Marietta, and many wonderful relatives and great friends. He was the brother of the late Ethel Frolich.

Andrew was a Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Following his distinguished service in the Navy, he was employed as a pressman in the printing industry in New York City. After several successful years, he and his beloved wife, Marilyn, moved to RI where he continued in the printing industry, and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree at Johnson & Wales University and subsequently, a real estate license.

After retiring, Andy and Marilyn spent 20 years as happy snowbirds in Florida, always returning to their cherished family and friends in RI. Andy enjoyed the social aspect of his community and always living life to the fullest. He enjoyed dancing, singing, watching football, playing cards, spending time with friends and neighbors, but more than anything else, he was a devoted family man. His family meant everything to him.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Sunday, March 12th from 2:00-5:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. The Funeral will be held on Monday, March 13th at 9:00 AM, from the O'Neill Funeral Home, followed by A Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Church, 1303 Mendon Road, Cumberland, RI.

The burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Veteran's Administration Medical Center , 830 Chalkstone Avenue, Providence, RI, 02908, in memory of Andrew, would be greatly appreciated.
