Aminta Gomez, loving mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at the age of 105 surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, August 11, 2026. She was the beloved wife of the late Julio Canton.Born in Masaya, Nicaragua, she was the daughter of the late Tula Rivera Gomez and Fabian Gomez. She is survived by her sons, Richard Canton, Denis Canton, Cesar Canton, Julio Canton and daughter Fanny Flores, her devoted companion and caregiver. Aminta was the sister of the late Aron Gomez, Fabian Gomez, Ronaldo Gomez, Dora Maltez, Argelia Gomez, Alicia Mercado, and Tulita Gomez Montiel. Aminta will be lovingly remembered for the life she shared with her family and the many generations who were blessed to know and love her. Her memory will live on through her children, 17 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Funeral Service on Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 550 Wampanoag Trail, East Providence. Visitation will take place prior to the Funeral Service from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Manning-Heffern-O'Neill Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket.
