Obituary

Alita G. Pagnozzi of Providence passed away peacefully Friday, August 05, 2022. Born in Pawtucket, she was the long time companion of the late Ralph Regine and the daughter of the late John and Bernadette (McKeon) O'Neill. She is survived by her children Paul Pagnozzi, Lisa Pagnozzi, Gina Valdes, Rhonda Pagnozzi, Marcus Pagnozzi, and Nicole Pagnozzi. She also leaves her grandchildren, Alita Rose Pontin, Marcus Joshwa Bonneberg, Jacob Pagnozzi, D. Michael Valdes, Miranda Lopez, Jason Valdes, and Adeyah Grace Pagnozzi and her great granddaughter, Natalia Maria Lopez.

She is survived by her siblings, Joan O'Neill, Bernadette Robinson, William O'Neill, Irene O'Neill, Daniel O'Neill, and Matthew O'Neill and was the sister of the late Shirley Orrall, John Gerald O'Neill, Charles O'Neill, J. Edward O'Neill, and Marlene O'Neill.


Alita was a beautiful, gentle, insightful, intelligent, funny, and savvy woman, but her most treasured quality was her unwavering selflessness. She would never hesitate to put her loved one's needs before her own and spent some of her final words comforting her children. She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and eternally in our hearts.


All services will be held Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be from 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM at Costigan-O'Neill Funeral Home (220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St Teresa's Church 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (358 Newport Ave, Pawtucket) and burial in Saint Ann Cemetery (73 Church St, Cranston) 12:30 PM - 1:00 PM.
