Aline D. Delannoy, 92, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2024. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Emile and Claire Vina (Girard) Vincent. Aline worked as an operating room nurse for Landmark Medical Center before retiring.
Anyone who knew Mimi loved Mimi. She devoted her life to her family and helping any person in need however she was able to. She was not only an operating room nurse, but she was a phenomenal seamstress and enjoyed making memories with family, cooking, sewing and anything that fostered happy memories and togetherness.
Aline was a beacon of light and touched everyone's life around her.
She is survived by her children Gerard Delannoy and his wife Kim, Monique Jodoin and Naomi Delannoy. Aline was predeceased by her two children the late Rene Delannoy, and Daniel Delannoy. She was the devoted grandmother to 7 grandchildren, Melissa Allard, Samantha Jodoin, Danielle Coombs, Naomi Delannoy, Gerard Delannoy Jr, Joshua Delannoy and Jesse Delannoy. Aline was the great grandmother to 7 great grandchildren, Corina Cardullo, Emily Moran, Nyah Harris, Milo Dahl, Lincoln Delannoy, Theresa Matteson, and Adalynn Delannoy. Aline was the sister to the late Gerard Vincent, and Donald Vincent.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Funeral Service on Saturday, April 27th at 4:00 PM, in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Visiting hours will be from 3:00-4:00 PM, prior to the Service, in the funeral home.
The burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, a donation in Aline's memory may be made to Delta Hospice Society , 1521 56 Street, Delta, BC, V4L 2A9, would be greatly appreciated.
