Alice A. Cornille, 97, of Smithfield, RI, passed away on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Leopold and Vitaline (Menard) Montmarquette. Alice was the wife of the late Roger E. Cornille.

She is survived by her daughters Jeanne McPherson and Rachel Durand.

Alice was the sister of Theresa Ouellette, Orise Corriveau, Rosina Dumont, Germaine Salciarini, and Maurice Montmarquette. She was predeceased by her siblings, the late Joseph Montmarquette, Anita Howard, and Simone Brizard. Alice also leaves her grandchildren, Kimberly Paquette, Michael McPherson, Jennifer Stalb, and Jeffrey Durand. She was the great grandmother of Ashley Casinelli, Kaitlynne McPherson, Hailey McPherson, Sean McPherson, Noah Gagnon, John Stalb, Maxwell Stalb, Samuel Stalb, Christopher Durand, and BreAna Durand.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial Thursday, July 3, 2025 at 10:30 AM in Saint John Vianney Church, 3609 Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. The burial will be private.

The family will receive guests from 10:00 -10:30 AM, prior to the Mass, in Saint John Vianney Church.
