Alfred H. Guay, 83, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully Friday, May 9, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Jacqueline (St. Germain) Guay. Born in Woonsocket, he was the son of the late Hubert and Ernestine (Paradis) Guay. He was an AirForce veteran.
Alfred was a machinist for many years before retiring. Once retired he enjoyed restoring an F4 Phantom for 5 years at Quonset Point Air Museum. He also enjoyed fishing, cooking on his grill, sharing his experiences from his service years with others, and spending time with family and friends. He also adored his Parakeet Chickie.
Besides his wife, he leaves two daughters, Darlene Granata and husband Anthony Granata of Burrillville, Cheryl Fitzgerald and husband Kevin Fitzgerald of North Smithfield, and his granddaughter, Danielle Kurczy and her significant other Ramon Torres of Plymouth. He was the brother of the late Juliette Guay and Marie Guay. Along with his family he leaves behind his dear friends Norman, Rene, Monroe, Richard and many others.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, May 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3387 Mendon Road, Cumberland. The burial will be private.
Visiting hours are on Friday from 9:00 - 10:30 AM, prior to the Mass, in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
