Adela Nowak

Adela Nowak, 99, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Thursday, February 19, 2026. She was the wife of the late Edward Nowak Sr. Born in Woonsocket, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Victoria (Kantor) Sitko.

She is survived by her children, Edward Nowak Jr. and his wife Meredith of Cranston, Nancy Nowak of Cumberland, and David Nowak and his wife Lisa of Seekonk; her grandchildren, Sandra Cutler and her husband Alex, Gregory Nowak and his wife Patricia, Kevin Nowak, Derek Nowak, and Lauren Nowak. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, James Nowak, Jonathan Nowak, and Max Cutler. She was the sister of the late John Sitko, Mary Sweck, Matthew Sitko, Sally Pietras, Sophie Wrona, Theodore Sitko, Joseph Sitko Jr., Thomas Sitko, and Frank Sitko.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at 9:00 AM from the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Joan of Arc Church, 3357 Mendon Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland.

Visiting hours will held on Wednesday, February 25th from 4:00 - 7:00 PM in the O'Neill Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland.
